What is Radiant Barrier?
Heat Bloc Ultra is a water based coating that blocks 75% of radiant heat transfer from the roof to the attic and into the home. By reducing the radiant heat gain, the attic temperature is cooler by 30-40 degrees. This will result in cooler living space and more energy efficient home with lower energy bills.
How is Radiant Barrier Applied?
Heat Bloc Ultra is sprayed to the underside of the roof from inside the attic. There is minimal odor and the process takes only a few hours from application to completion of the drying time. View Demo.
Insulation
Insulation acts to slow the transfer of heat from the warmer area to the cooler area. The thicker your attic insulation, the longer it will take for the heat to move through the insulation. This is similar to wearing multiple layers of clothes on a cold day. The more layers you have on, the less heat will escape and you will feel warmer. The effect on your home is that your home will be cooler in the Summer and Warmer in the Winter.
